South African Chad Le Clos and Japan's Daiya Seto's match race in the 200m butterfly did not disappoint. Seto was under world-record pace for 150 meters before Le Clos put on the jets with a monster 28.0 final 50m to take the victory in 1:49.25 — just 0.6 of a second off his own 2013 world record.
