Texas A&M Men Beat Texas For First Time Since 1962

For the first time since 1962 -- 55 years for all you non-math majors -- the Texas A&M men have taken down their in-state rival Texas Longhorns.

Now, this is certainly a great accomplishment. The Aggie men have steadily been improving under head coach Jay Holmes and their stars came to play Friday night in College Station.

But... devils advocate here... it's a November dual meet and the three-time defending NCAA Champions (Texas) did not have their best swimmer in Joseph Schooling. So for all of you conspiracy theorists out there sounding the alarm that Texas is vulnerable -- take a chill pill and wait until March. This team has the pieces of the puzzle to make a run for a four-peat.

On the women's side, the No. 2 Longhorns took down a deep No. 5 Aggies squad by a narrow three-point margin. This rivalry brought out the best in both teams. Take the backstroke events for example. Claire Adams (UT) and Lisa Bratton (TAMU) tied in the 100 with a blazing 52.92. As if that weren't enough, Quinn Carrozza (UT) and Bratton both threw down 1:53.8 200's. Are you kidding me?
