SwimMAC Carolina's Timothy Connery made it a clean sweep Friday night at the 2017 NCS Long Course Age Group Championships in Cary, NC. The 14 year-old won all three of his individual events at the Triangle Aquatic Center -- two of which were new North Carolina state records.

First up, Connery threw down a very quick 1:05.58 in the 100m breaststroke -- crushing the previous state record of 1:06.51 from 2011 by almost a full second. Next, in a much closer race, Connery claimed the top spot in the 100m butterfly with a 58.41 -- just ahead of Garrett Boone in 58.82. In his final individual race, Connery blazed a swift 4:38.92 in the 400m IM -- taking down the state record and becoming the first 13-14 boy in North Carolina under the 4:40 barrier.

But wait, there's more! Timothy Connery anchored SwimMAC's 4x100m freestyle relay to a new state record of 3:40.51 -- obliterating the old record of 3:42.35.

Although Connery was great, he was not the only star swimmer in Cary Friday night.

The 11-12 National Age Group record holder (now 13 years old) Claire Curzan dropped a blistering 1:01.09 in the girls 100m butterfly -- a new state record for the recently turned 13 year-old.
