200m Breaststroke Men Final

Marco Koch adds to his 100m Breaststroke victory with a world championship title in the men's 200m breaststroke. Finishing with a time of 2:01.21 he took down the championship record and won by a full second and a half. Coming in second from great Britain was Andrew Willis and third from Russia was Mikhail Dorinov.

In a ridiculously close race, Brittany Elmslie of Australia wins the women's 100m freestyle in a time of 51.81. Behind her were Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands and Penny Olesiak of Canada, who won the silver and bronze respectively.

200m Backstroke Women Final

Katinka Hosszu jumped on the race early and didn't let off the gas until her hand hit the wall. Hosszu adds to her stack of golds with a victory and a time of 2:00.79. Following behind her in a tight race for silver was Daryna Zevina of Ukraine and Emily Seebohm of Australia. At the touch, the silver went to Zevina and bronze to Seebohm.

Chad Les Clos swims to a victory in the men's 100m butterfly and in World Record fashion. Jumping out to an early lead Shields and Morgan wouldn't have enough room to catch Le Clos. The new World Record is set at 48.08 as Shields followed for silver in 49.04 and Morgan for bronze in 49.31​.

The United States takes home the Gold and Silver in the Women's 800m Freestyle. Leah Smith takes home gold with a time of 8:10.17 as her US teammate Ashley Twichell gets silver in 8:11.95. Rounding out the top three was Kiah Melverton of Australia at 8:16.51.

Michael Chadwick comes from behind to win the Mixed 200 Medley Relay for the United States. He split a 20.4 on the final 50 of freestyle and over took the relay team from Brazil in a thriller. The US wins in a championship record of 1:37.22 followed by Brazil and Japan in second and third respectively.
