To the Victors: Olympic Social Round-Up
"It's too bad people only care about swimming every four years."

-Signed every swimmer this summer.

I hear you loud and clear, ladies and laddies. It is too bad. Not just the swimming-related chitchat at a bar, on the subway, or at the local YMCA, but also for our champions, too. And not just gold medal champions. All of Team USA. The whole U.S. Olympic Swimming team flew back home as heroes in August, minus a few who were abruptly taken off that flight -- unnecessarily I must say.

Once home, they get to partake in parades, talk shows, shaking their mayor's hand, or even getting a street named after them. So that begs the question… Who is winning the post-Olympic celebration?

There are many more, but here are some highlights:

Conor Dwyer has been kicking it at Cubs games, New York Fashion Week, and even competed in a team triathlon with the Efron brothers. NBD.

Another fellow Cubbie, Kevin Cordes, threw out the first pitch last week at Wrigley Field. He's no Jake Arrieta, but for Dwyer, Cordes, and all you other cursed Cubs fans, I really hope you guys keep that mojo cooking to win it all this year.

Ryan Murphy, along with Kathleen Baker and Nathan Adrian, hung out with Apple's Tim Cook for the iPhone 7 release. Adrian also competed in an open water race for a fallen friend and fellow swimmer, Matt Benoit, who unfortunately succumbed to cancer earlier this summer.

Elizabeth Beisel and Allison Schmitt are trekking across Thailand.

Cody Miller and Lilly King were honored at an Indianapolis Colts game.

Michael Phelps celebrated his retirement, for real this time. Not only introducing Future at the VMAs, but also taking home victory in "The Lip Sync Battle," narrowly beating the king of cheeseburgers, Terry Crews. He also appeared on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," playing "Foot Flickers" and a few studs in COD.

So to our team of champions, may you continue your incredibly amazing adventure with enjoyment, grace, and longevity. Do as much as you can! Live it up, Team USA! We love ya!
