FloSwimming caught up with Brazil's Felipe Lima Saturday night at the 2017 Mare Nostrum in Monaco. Lima broke the Monaco meet record in the 50m breaststroke with a blazing fast 27.05 -- only five one-hundredths of a second off of his 2017 world's fifth fastest time (27.00) from the Maria Lenk Trophy (Brazilian National Championships) back in May.
Lima chatted about his training and preparation for the 2017 FINA World Championships, working with Sergio Lopez and Kevin Cordes at Auburn University, and his take on the recent developments and drama surrounding the CBDA -- Brazilian Confederation of Aquatic Sports.
