INJURY & THE BAMBOO MIND
Injury. It totally sucks. The body gives out, then the mind follows…OR, is it the other way around? When we get knocked down, it is easy to adopt a defeated mindset. We feel broken. We want to find ways in which it isn’t real. We crave to just crawl in a hole and pretend we aren’t "failing." We feel the need to prove. The need to resist the pain and “get rid of it” or else we will …well… never be good again. Sound familiar?

SOLUTION -- ACCEPTANCE
When we adopt the ability to accept the injury, we are not settling into it and throwing in the towel. Rather, we are allowing ourselves to say, “Hey, it is okay that I feel this way. It is okay that my body needs to rest. It is okay that I am upset, and it is okay that I also want to make this better… in any way possible.” We are accepting that it is time to take what we can do and do just that…what we can.

Be a student of the healing. You can BEND, but you will not BREAK. #bamboomind.
