Georgia Tech Invite | Bama's Robert Howard Rocks 41.99 100 Free

The final night of the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia wrapped up with Florida State and Auburn winning the team titles.

On the men's side, Alabama's Robert Howard punched an automatic ticket to NCAA's with his A-standard swim of 41.99 in the 100 Free. Howard was joined by 200 Back winner Christopher Reid as Alabama's final day champions.

As usual, the South Carolina distance crew owned the mile. Finishing with four in the top five, senior Akaram Mahmoud won with a 14:57.88.

On the women's side, it was the 100 Free that also excited. Auburn teammates Alyss Tetzloff and Julie Meynan finished in the top two spots, separated by only 0.03. Meynan tried to win on the back-half but came up just short of Tetzloff's 48.01 swim.

There were two sets of A-standard relays to close out the meet. In the women's, Auburn won (3:13.88) and rival Alabama finished second (3:15.39), sliding just under the qualifying time. It was Alabama (2:50.46) winning the men's with Florida State (2:51.27) finishing second.
