Day Four Finals Recap: ISCA Elite Showcase Classic
The final evening of finals at the ISCA Elite Showcase Classic featured more incredible swims from a tenacious group of 14 and under athletes who did not seem to experience any end-of-meet fatigue. Before diving into more meet and near NAG record swims, a quick recap of the final team, girls and boys scores. On the combined team side, Nation's Capital was at the top of the rankings with 837.5 points, followed in second by Aquajets Swim Team with 735 points and in third by Virginia Gators with 713 points. On the girls side, The Fish were triumphant with 481 points. On the boys side, Nation's Capital stole the show with 529 points.

Josh Zuchowski (Flood Aquatics) continued his assault on the NAG record book, breaking his several week old 400 IM record with a 4:07.81. This, however, was not it for Zuchowski on the evening. He went on to win the boys 12 year old 50 butterfly with a 24.61 and showed some versatility with a win the 100 breaststroke at 1:01.02.

Another athlete continuing a stellar meet, and just narrowly missing yet another breaststroke NAG record was Zoe Skirboll (Race X). Skirboll popped-off a lightning fast 1:03.00 in the 100 breaststroke, just missing the NAG record of 1:02.86 from Olivia Anderson. She was also just a hair off the NAG mark in the 50 butterfly with a 25.17, narrowly missing the 24.61 NAG mark. For good measure, Skirboll also threw in a fast 200 freestyle, finishing  second to Grace Olsen (SLA) who won with a 1:52.60.

A few other notable swims happened this evening, led by Tavis Siebert (NYSA), who took the boys 14 year old 200 freestyle with a swift 1:41.91. Brett Feyerick (NCAP), took home another win in the boys 14 year old 50 butterfly with a 23.20. Abigail Kapeller (AQJT) continued winning, too, taking the girls 13 year old 50 fly with a 24.97.

All in all, the ISCA Elite Showcase Classic lived up to it's 14 and under national championship status featuring numerous NAG records as well as a slew of meet records. Stay tuned for the Western edition taking place in Tempe, Arizona, live on FloSwimming April 27 - 30th.
