Thomas Hall of Central Area Aquatic Team swept the 100m and 200m butterfly races at the 2017 Futures Championships at Santa Clara this past weekend. First up, he took down the 100m fly on Friday (Friday Fly-day, anyone? Nope? Just us? We digress) with a quick time of 55.74 all the way out in the outside lane. Not to be outdone, he followed up his sprint fly performance with another victory on Saturday -- this time with a swift 2:03.81 in the 200m fly, crushing his seed time of 2:09. Hall did not mess around in prelims of the 200 as he took the top seed, learning from his lesson of barely sneaking in the 100 final.

In the video interview above, Hall talks about what it was like going into the final as the top seed and how that huge swim sets him up for the future.
