USC (Southern Cal) assistant coach Chase Bloch still has it. Bloch, who was a 2014 co-captain on the USC Trojans squad, wanted to prove that he can still hang with the best of them. So, in between sessions at the 2017 Los Angeles Invitational, Bloch threw on an old-school Jaked full body suit and dabbled in a 50m butterfly.
The time? 23.77.
USC swimmer Santo Condorelli confirmed the time on the watch. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all.
As he walked away in triumph, Bloch leaves us with these parting words: "See you in Budapest, Sarah Sjöström."
