FloSwimming's Clark Burckle caught up with 2016 U.S. Olympian Tom Shields Friday evening at the 2017 Los Angeles Invitational. Shields, who barely missed the World Championship team a couple of weeks ago with a 4th place finish in his signature event -- the 100m butterfly -- at U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, talks about how the past few weeks and months have been a learning experience in exposing mental errors and how he plans on moving forward to become a better swimmer.
