Event Info
2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the Flowers Sea Swim. This year is also a special event because it marks the first time the event has hosted the UANA Championships for Open Water. Top athletes from around the world attend the event, joining over 1,000 other amateurs, with hopes of being crowned champion in the 1 mile and either 5k or 10k races. A course record offers a $5,000 prize with additional bragging rights, part of the reason why the swim has grown so much over the past few decades.
