South African swimmer Chad le Clos -- who has been absent thus far at the 2017 Mare Nostrum -- is set to make his first appearance on the European tour Saturday at the Mare Nostrum in Canet-en-Roussillon.

Over the two day meet in France, Le Clos is slated to swim the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly, and 200m butterfly. Currently, le Clos is first in the world this year in the 100m fly (51.29) and fifth in the 200m fly (1:55.00). He is also 14th in the 100m free (48.64) and 8th in the 200m free (1:46.84).
